Profile
Natalie has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist since 2017, initially within community SLT where she worked across various settings including mainstream and additional support needs provisions, community clinics, and supporting families at home.
During this time she gained extensive experience of working with children of all ages with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs such as speech delay/disorder, language difficulties and developmental language disorder, stammer/dysfluency, and social communication which gave her a comprehensive understanding of communication and social needs across different contexts and developmental stages, forming a solid foundation for her current specialised work.
Over the last four to five years she has specialised in neurodevelopmental assessment and support as part of a multi-disciplinary team in both the NHS and private practice. Natalie is trained and experienced in standardised assessments such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule(ADOS-2), Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R), Clinical Evaluation of LanguageFundamentals (CELF-5), Assessment of Comprehension and Expression (ACE 6 – 11) and Diagnostic Evaluation of Articulation and Phonology (DEAP) as well as having experience of carrying out comprehensive informal assessment and using a range of other assessment tools such as Talking Mats and Young DIVA-5 to gather information to build a comprehensive picture of the young person’s strengths and differences.
